Importing from Kaya

Switching from Kaya? Bring your logbook with you: every send you logged in Kaya, at the gym or outside, lands in Big Sendies as sessions you can keep building on.

Step by Step
1
Export Your Logbook from Kaya
In Kaya, open your Profile, tap the ⋯ menu and choose Export Logbook Via Email. Kaya emails you a CSV file with your whole logbook.
2
Open It in Big Sendies
Open the attachment in the email and share it to Big Sendies. Or save it to Files, then in the Settings tab tap Kaya under Data and tap Open a Kaya Export.

3
Check Your Gyms and Crags
Big Sendies matches each gym and crag to a location. Matched means it's already in Big Sendies; new ones are added for you. Tap one to use a different location instead. Kaya doesn't record whether a roped climb was lead or top rope, so choose which under Roped climbs were; you can change single climbs afterwards.

4
Review the Climbs and Import
Each climb is listed with its name, grade, hold color and send type. Days you already logged at that gym in Big Sendies show Already logged and are skipped so nothing is counted twice; turn on Import those days too if you want them anyway. Tap Import and each day at a gym or crag becomes a session.

5
Gym Grades
V grades, YDS, French and Font come across as they are. If your gym uses its own grades, like colored tags, add them in Settings → Custom Grade Systems with the same names before you import and they'll match. Any grade Big Sendies doesn't know is listed in the preview and kept in the climb's notes.
6
Import Again Any Time
Kaya always exports your whole logbook, so just export and import again after more climbing. Climbs you've already imported are skipped, and imported climbs you delete stay deleted. To bring deleted ones back, tap Restore Deleted Climbs in Settings → Kaya.
